The Procurement Policy Note (PPN) on The Commercial Playbooks provides updated guidance on best practices for procurement decision-making in government contracts. Updated in February 2025, it applies to central government departments, executive agencies, and non-departmental public bodies, aligning with the Procurement Act 2023 and Procurement Regulations 2024, effective 24 February 2025. The Playbooks—Sourcing, Consultancy, Construction, and Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT)—offer structured frameworks to improve risk management, sustainability, and supplier engagement.
