How we live our values
Value Match Foundation
Jo and David are co-founders of the Value Match Foundation which seeks to assist organisations with charitable purposes at their heart. The Foundation seeks to promote and support these organisations to increase their financial sustainability through commercial activity, providing professional advice, resources and training. Value Match companies will donate a minimum 5% of profit to the Value Match Foundation.
Contract for Change
Contract for Change is a voluntary programme seeking to embed social value principles and enhance environmental outcomes, by assisting organisations to develop their procurement/commissioning strategies, policies and operating practices. Value Match has provided resources, knowledge, expertise and co-leads several workstreams. The programme is designed to bring together forward-thinking practitioners and academics from across all sectors, to help shape the future of how procurement can be a force for good.
Knowsley Disability Concern
Knowsley Disability Concern (KDC) is a charity that provides high quality, innovative services that support disabled people to exercise their rights, have choice, control and achieve independence. Value Match supports this in two ways. We have outsourced our payroll services to KDC whose profits go to supporting the ongoing work of the charity. While Jo has become a Member of the Board of Trustees and provides ongoing support to the team at KDC
Kiva

Kiva is a not for profit organisation that provides a crowdfunding platform that brings together people who have no access to finance or banking services with potential lenders. Value Match has been part of the Kiva community since 2018 and provides loans every month and reinvests previous loans in new projects. Value Match supports women owned businesses with a positive environmental or community impact.
Carbon Footprint

We have worked with Carbon Footprint, following the recommended measurement and audit processes to become Carbon Net Positive. Carbon offsetting projects help to combat global climate change as well as supporting local communities. Off-setting projects can provide much needed employment, health improvement, biodiversity, reforestation and broad social benefits to impoverished communities.
The Movement Centre

The Movement Centre is a charity that provides life changing paediatric physiotherapy called Targeted Training to children who have a disability, such as cerebral palsy, which affects their movement control. Targeted Training helps children to achieve new skills through increased strength and control of their movement. Alison is a member of the Board of Trustees and regularly supports fund raising events.
Newcastle City Juniors
Newcastle City Juniors football club was established in 2005, is a registered charity and provides great support and coaching for local children from under 6’s to under 18’s. Value Match is sponsoring the Under 10’s team and supporting Lindsay standing on the side of a football pitch (or two) most weekends.
KitAid
KitAid is a charity that recycles your once loved football kit and distributes to underprivileged children and adults in some of the world’s poorest countries. Lindsay is volunteering as a Regional Coordinator, accepting kit from across the North East. A football shirt, full kit or boots can help our partner charities to engage with the communities they work in to deliver their projects. They vary from Education, Social Inclusion, Crime prevention, drug/alcohol misuse, protecting endangered chimpanzees from poachers and preventing gun related gang murders.
Social Value UK

Social Value UK is a not for profit, member-led organisation, whose mission is to change the way the world accounts for value and aims to reduce environmental degradation and inequality and increase wellbeing for all. Social Value UK does this through standardising practice through the Principles of Social Value, brokering relationships and encouraging cross-sectoral collaboration. David is a member of the Board of Trustees and is helping connect social value and procurement practitioners together.
