How we helped

Value Match was working with a large public sector organisation who were looking to recruit procurement and supply chain professionals for their large procurement team.  The roles covered a variety of categories and required candidates with a range of experience who had a strong background in the Public Sector.

The Value Match Network has a large number of candidates with experience in all aspects of public sector procurement, and Alison, our resourcing consultant spoke to GB, who had great experience working for the NHS and in central government.  Following a detailed conversation where she was able to discuss what GB was hoping for in her next permanent role, and how this would tie in with the positions available in our customers procurement team, Alison and GB felt that the Assistant Category Manager role provided the best fit and would allow GB to progress with her career.

During the pandemic it had been difficult to find a permanent position which provided the opportunities GB was looking for.  Alison worked with GB to tailor her CV to the role-highlighting the areas of expertise which were critical to the new position.  They were then able to produce an application which matched her skill and experience to the requirements of the role and as a result GB quickly progressed through first and second interviews to be offered the role.
