At COP 27, countries agreed to establish a transitional committee to determine the structure and financial commitments for a loss and damage fund. The committee will report at COP 28 in November 2023. The UK is one of the committee’s members, and the Government says it will be encouraging the committee to consider mobilising a broad range of finance.
