There is growing evidence that transparency and openness around this spending can help improve the competitiveness, integrity and efficiency of the contracting process. The Open Contracting Partnership (OCP) is a silo-busting collaboration across government, business, civil society and technologists to promote open contracting. Some countries have integrated open contracting into wider procurement reforms and business processes and have seen notable savings, increased business competition and a reduction in the perception of corruption in procurement. But not everyone is convinced of the merits of open contracting yet.
