The UN Global Compact and Russell Reynolds Associates set out on a collaboration to answer an important question: how can organizations make sustainability core to the DNA of their leadership teams? Sustainability is a leadership imperative, they say. The legitimacy of commercial organizations and the people that lead them -be they on the board, or in the C-suite – is being questioned in new and fundamental ways. Successful businesses will be those that meet the needs of as many people as possible, utilize as few resources as possible and engage with as many as possible.
